Sunday had arrived and I was so excited. For most of the week I had stayed in doing nothing, as I'm a poor student and having a broken foot you can't really push the boat out with the things you really want to do. Therefore I was so excited to just get out of the house and to fill my day with things I enjoyed, such as going out for lunch, watching the football, and spending the day with my best friend at the pub.
It was the Man U vs Chelsea game, so a big match which depended on important goals so we knew the atmosphere would be amazing. I have never really had a friend (girl) who's been into football as much as me, so it was nice :) With Joelly being a true Chelsea fan and me supporting the opponents the rivalry was rather funny and tense at times.
Just sat in the corner apparently looking 'all pretty' ;) we got a lot of attention by the guys for loving football, and many drinks were bought for us. Of course we thought it would be rude to say no, so we let them buy us a drink..what we thought would be one drink.
Realising that we had started drinking at 1'oclock in the afternoon we started to fill rather tipsy...oops and the drinks that we were being bought were building up and they were now lined up like shots on our table. This resulted into us getting extremly excited about a pub quiz and ended up shouting out ridiculous and embarrasing answers infront of everyone, aswell as a few consistant screams coming from our table in the corner.
Being the alcoholics that we are we thought why not continue the night with a night out. I was abit skeptical because it would be my first night out as a cripple, but that soon changed after a jager bomb! We had just made a new male friend called Andy who came and sat with us after the football as he thought that we seemed nice and had recently just split up with his girlfriend so was on his own. So we invited him out with us! :D
On our way home, we convinced ourselves that we needed more alcohol haha and so we stopped off at Tesco's. Walking in we were alot more louder and giggly than the other customers so it kind of gave it away that we had been drinking...it also didn't help the fact that I shouted: "there not gonna serve us, when I'm like this". Ha opps. After alot of persuading Mr Tesco's guy, Joelly decided that we should share the biggest bottle of vodka there was ha, and our new mate Andy bought a pack of bottled beer. He went to the till and the cardboard packaging split and the beers smashed everywhere. After we gathered ourselves from our fits of laughter, we went home got changed at went out.
It wasn't very busy for a Sunday but it was still a lot of fun. The company I had, the best music and also the fact that this was my first proper night out as a cripple made it so much more exciting! We met these four vunerable freshers ha walking around, so I'd like to say that they tagged along with us, but I think we tagged along with them haha and went to this new bar. One of them seemed lovely and ended my night very well ;D
The next day me, Joelly and Andy all crammed into Joelly's bed in our PJ's with our cups of tea, reminiscing the moments of last night and shamefully laughing at ourselves and spilling the goss.
I didn't spend a single penny that night and it just goes to show that the simplest of things which doesn't involve too much money, can have the same amount of fun if not more !! :)
However, the definite highlight was when Joelly fell over and literally cart wheeled into the wall...twice lmao! Still laugh about it to myself when I think about it ha! She's currently nursing her bruises...
