Kerry's life is a constant battle with the paparazzi as everyday whether it's past or present, there is a new story about her. Her life for the past two years has been an on going struggle and her world came crashing down when a private video of herself snorting cocaine in her own home with a £20 note was released; along with other shocking confessions. Not only this, but anonymous people were selling stories about her to the News of the World about her unhealthy addiction to alcohol and drugs; including her OWN MOTHER. If this wasn't enough for the devastated 28 year old, many watched in horror as she took to the sofas on TV show 'This Morning' where the public were faced with a mumbling, dazed, drugged up Kerry Katona. As well as it being available on YouTube receiving a massive 100,000 hits.
Unlucky in love with two failed marriages, left bankrupt, a rocky relationship with her mother, getting dropped from Iceland (which was bringing in £250,000 a year) and being a single mum, Kerry's life was at rock bottom.
With all the crap which had gone on and wanting to be dead just 24 months ago, she still managed to see light at the end of the tunnel. This guiding light being her four young children, reportedly saying: "I have let my children down, they're going to know about their mother and I am so embarrassed and ashamed of that."
Kerry returned to our screens with a bang. She had enough courage to do 'This Morning' again, but as a 'new woman'. Highlighting her last appearance on the daytime show and bringing us an insight of what she has to offer us. She also released a reality TV show 'Kerry Katona the next chapter'. This gave the public the 'real Kerry', and the honest truths about her and her home life. The cameras were allowed to film her every step and together we helped her climb that ladder of success. The first thing I noticed was her physical appearance. She had a new slim, toned body, a healthy natural glow and was 20 months of being clean. Her priorities were clear (her children) and she kept her head up high, and was happy being an independent woman.
I watched this show without fail every Wednesday. I wasn't a fan of Kerry Katona either at the start, however after hearing the story from the horses mouth, rather than exaggerated rumours by the paps, it was obvious that she had a warm personality and a typical Northerner (always up for a laugh). I had a lot of sympathy for her now.
Unfortunately I broke my foot at university, so that resulted in being totally bed-ridden for weeks and watching all sorts of trashy TV...one being Big Brother. Urgh, can't stand the programme but not being able to go out, I watched everything and anything. Paying no attention to the TV, I was on facebook talking to my mate when I heard Kerry Katona's name being announced by Brain Dowling. I glanced up and out of the 'Big Brother Eye' came this blond bombshell, in a different but stunning black dress, with a smile from ear to ear. I couldn't believe it she was looking better than ever!
She was in the house for a total of 3 weeks and was up for eviction once for failing her task. Her, having such low esteem and feeling she had lost all of her fan base thought she would be gone in the first week. How wrong was she! Kerry battled with 14 other housemates to win a place in the final, having no idea what the public perception of her was, and she made it as the runner up, just missing out to winner Paddy.
The interview was so overwhelming to say the least. She was so happy that she managed to win the public back around, and that this was a great opportunity for her as she managed to get a second chance in life.
I'm hoping for her sake that she gets job opportunities now, and that the paps might write something positive about her. Hopefully Daryn her fellow housemate. I really hope that she carries on climbing that ladder to fulfil a stable career and to bring lots of love to her four kids.
